Gather my broken fragments to a whole ... Let mine be a merry, all-receiving heart, but make it a whole, with light in every part. - George Macdonald
The wounds we have endured, their impact, the messages that came with them, and the way we handled them do not have to have the final word. They do not have to be the end of the story!
Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted. He wants healing for us. He came to restore the Shalom (wholeheartedness) we were made for.
Jesus came, and continues to come, to bring his kind healing and tend to our wounded and broken hearts, minds, and beings, and He invites us to join Him in the healing process.
Healing is when our truest self is being restored, welcomed, uncovered, unbound, let up for air, cared for, nourished, and set free.
Consider ...
What should we do with our pain? Should we ignore it? Should we just “get over it”? Should we optimistically hope that everything will work out in the end? What have you done with your pain?
