An elder is a person who is valued for wisdom, and holds a “position” of responsibility and authority. He has become wise through experience.

A sage is defined as someone who has attained wisdom and lives wisely. A sage is considered a virtuous person, an advisor of good judgement because of his years of reflection.

The interlocking Zoweh hearts represent the hearts of the Elder-Sage and the man in his care.

The ring around the hearts stands for the presence of God over and in their journey.

The ring is also symbolic of the white silicone ring bestowed upon Elder-Sages upon completion of their apprenticeship.

The gathering of thousands of older brothers in the Kingdom willing to continue their intimate journey with God while engaging in helping the next generations (Kings, Warriors, and Explorers) to walk more intimately with God.

Older men guiding younger men into becoming who they truly are.

Men in the Elder-Sage stage of life are called back into the game, back into the war, re-awakened, equipped and redeployed… invited to personally take their next steps of personal healing and training with God so they can help younger men take theirs.

An Elder-Sage knows and experiences an intimate relationship with God.

  • He is a close friend of God.
  • Through the years, the Elder-Sage has recovered much of his heart by walking with God on the healing and training path and therefore is becoming more and more his true self.
  • He is a seasoned veteran of the masculine journey.
  • The Elder-Sage walks humbly with other men earning the right to share by listening to another man’s story; their wounds, pain, and glory.  He has learned how to listen to God, listen to another man, and listen for that moment in which to share.
  • He is a great listener.
  • The Elder-Sage is a veteran of the spiritual battle, and therefore an oriented man who knows how and when to offer validation and initiation.  He sees wounds, agreements and vows; what the enemy has been doing to a man and is an expert at asking questions.
  • He bestows hope and courage.
