When we honestly ask ourselves which people in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. -Henri Nouwen
You were not created to do life alone. We were created for relationship, for community, for knowing and being known, for intimacy with God and each other. We were meant to taste the goodness of God in community with others, in a way that is nourishing, comforting, and healing. It’s the way of the Kingdom! Ministry and friendship are not the goal. Ministry and friendships - sisterhood - are the fruit of our intimacy with God.
Friendship, sisterhood, and intimacy grow through telling our stories and honoring each other’s stories while bearing witness to the joy, celebration, loss, deep grief, and betrayal, as well as the mundane, and in our longing for MORE.
Trust is built as we become safe places for one another to vulnerably share and transparently process what we’re experiencing in our lives. We have found that women best experience the love, life, and freedom for which we were created through being part of a small fellowship of hearts where you can know another’s story, journey and glory - to know and be known. Sounds like flourishing, doesn’t it?
