Do you see it? Do you hear it? Do you feel the Spiritual Realm connecting and crashing in? It has not only been here in the past, it is here now! What a Large Story God is unfolding. We would be silly to think that scriptures could or would contain all the invasions there have ever been of the Spiritual Realm into our everyday world. These collisions produce historical events, which were written down and preserved in the scriptures to reveal God’s heart to us. But we can’t stop there and simply place these events in the simple category of “the past.” No, they are still very much present, affecting and infecting the life we are now being invited to live.
When the Spiritual Realm makes its presence known, the result is change. When the Spiritual Realm takes hold of a person’s heart, the change is so eventful and significant it might become permanent, even irreversible. Those preceding us who discovered the Spiritual Realm wrote about their encounters to help and encourage others along their journeys. These forerunners to us—common folk in their day—have a universal declaration, It’s true. Look for it! Listen for it! I’m another life forever altered and changed by the One who cared enough to search for me and find me, rescue me and restore me. Keep awake. Be alert. Do you see it, do you hear it? Don’t give up. He is coming!
Only when we leave behind living exclusively in the lesser physical realm and step further up and further in to the greater Spiritual Realm will our search for Life be satisfied.
