I won’t hesitate to continually remind you of these truths, even though you are aware of them and are well established in the present measure of truth you have already embraced. and as long as I live I will continue to awaken you with this reminder.
2 Peter 1:12-13
We must constantly be reminded of God’s love for us. How many of us would tell our wife at the altar, “I do,” but then fail to lovingly continue to affirm to her, through our words and deeds, “I do, I do, I do” - again and again? I want Robin and my girls and my family to experience my love for them in ways that alter their day, settle their hearts, and encourage them with the message that today “I see you, and I love what I see. I love you, and here is how you can rest assured of it.”
If we can aspire to this kind of love, then how much more might the One who created all things in love and who is love, love us?
- In your life, how has God delivered on personal experiences in which he has shown you, told you, shared with you, seen you, validated you, invited you to know his love?
- Have you ever tried to earn God’s love—put the conditional on the unconditional? How? When? Where? Why?
- How is God reminding you this morning, today, this week, this month how much He loves you? He is pursuing you, ask Him for eyes to see all the unique and personalized ways.
