In his book, The Heart of a Warrior, Michael lays out what this Warrior Training looks like. He wisely first implores us to stay connected to our King; union with our Father. Intimacy. Oneness. Connectedness. Union is the cornerstone, the priority, the vital source of which all-else flows. And it is just as true for the feminine heart.
I love Psalm 144:1-2,
Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge!
As women warriors, we too need to be tethered and trained by our King to be wholehearted warriors. God will bring situations, people, and experiences to us and us to them that will provide for our training.
And neither one of us—woman or man—is secondary or backup; we are all key parts of the Kingdom. We are all intrinsic to the story of God, right now. And we need each other! Throughout Scripture and history, we see women of valor, women operating in their anointing & created purpose as Ezer Kenegdos.
Last week was my birthday and one of my best friends gave me this:
You are beautiful. You are strong. You are a woman-turned-warrior trained by the King for the very battle that is in front of you. You’ve got this.
