The enemy comes at a woman’s identity, her good heart, her belovedness, her worth, and her strength. They attempt to capitalize on her pain, a time when we are most vulnerable, like sharks that smell blood in the water.
We are hated by the one who sees our image-bearing selves and fears our glory, knowing what we could become. Our enemy wants to control us. Diminish us. Silence us. Sideline us. He wants to take us out. STEAL. KILL. DESTROY. Nothing less.
Our enemy comes at us in words and those words are poison. They are accusations, phrases that we internalize and adopt as our own. The power of a lie is if we believe it, and sometimes it is far too easy to do. He is the father of lies.
To our feminine hearts, it might sound like, “You are alone.”
It says, “You deserved it.”
It says, “You are not worth staying for, not worth fighting for.“
And the messages and agreements come, “I should just stay quiet. Don’t offer. Don’t even try. Isolate. Don’t show up. Give it up.”
These voices have wreaked havoc for far too long. Time to listen to the still small voice that says, “Arise my darling, my fair one, I am with you. You deserve the world. You are worthy and I fight for you every day. Come and be with me and listen to more words of Life.”
