The reason we have to bring up ezer kenegdo is because it is the first identity and title that was given to Eve by God, and therefore ALL the daughters of Eve. All women.
In doing so, God places such a high value on women. He esteems them; He gives them a place of honor. Far more than just a seat at the table, and He does so throughout Scripture and throughout our lives.
By the way, I love how Jesus interacted with women. He gave them dignity and worth with his touch, his focus. He defended them and honored them. He counted them as his dearest friends and allies, in a culture and a time that absolutely would not have. That’s one of the ways that this is so powerful, Jesus went against cultural norms to relate and connect and love women.
