On the Monday before the last HOW ADVANCED weekend I watched a video on YouTube about men and isolation…it was Michael and SJ. I didn’t know them and had never heard of Zoweh. I “randomly” came across the video.
My heart was moved and I thought…I’m gonna go to one of their events.
I called and Jimmy Mac answered. The next event started in two days lol.
Long story short I was the “last one in”and my life is forever changed.
As I discussed with Jimmy Mac whether I should register for the Advanced or wait a few months or the next HOW weekend my ITunes “randomly” began playing the lyric “you better let somebody love you before it’s too late” from the Eagles song Desperado. As the hair stood up on the end of my neck I signed up.
- Tombstone…I love the friendship between Wyatt and Doc Holiday. Plus I'm a cowboy at heart lol.
- The Mission…I love the music and the powerful story of forgiveness/redemption in the waterfall scene.
- Last of the Mohicans…”I will come for you!!” One of the most powerful movie scenes ever…
- Wild at Heart…opened my eyes and my heart to the love of my Father.
- The Black Stallion…I identified with the boy and his horse.
- Heart of a Warrior…a call to action for me.
- Mule creek rd, Wheatland WY…my friend Roy’s ranch. My happy place.
- New Zealand. Land of wonder. Amazing hunting, fishing and outdoor adventures.
- Mankato KS. So many memories of chasing deer, quail, pheasant and coyotes.
