My Journey with God
I was showing "The Kid" at one of the prisons I minister in here in Texas. When it came to the scene where young Rusty looks and older Russell and says, "Russ we have to change." The word "WE" jumped out at me. It was God's word to me to include more of HIM in my desire to change the things about myself that I wish were different. "Barry, We have to change."
My 3 Favorite Movies and Why
- Second Hand Lions - I want to finish well standing up. Die with my boots on you might say.
- Finding Forester - Through rescuing the heart of the student, the teacher's heart was restored.
- Glory - To know there are things worth dying over speaks to my heart.
My 3 Favorite Books and Why
- Other than my Bible, Wild at Heart - God used the words of healing and warfare to change my life and change my family tree. HEART OF A WARRIOR has enabled me to take the message to many who did not respond/get WAH.
- The Power of Your Words - Again God used Pastor Robert Morris' book to change my life through improving my thoughts and words. It helped me to work on my prayer language. It also guided me to Gateway Church of Southlake, TX that we dearly love.
- The Barbarian Way - helped me to understand Christianity is not tame and suburb
