2018!!! It’s here and it’s moving!
As we step into this year, THANK YOU for praying for us, over us, and against the enemy of Love, Life, and Freedom. It is an amazing thing to know we have won, the victory is ours and at the same time, enter into the battle and fight, engage, and claim this victory over our enemy. Satan and the kingdom of darkness is defeated, but they need to be shown, told, and fought against. Amazing and powerful. We know the work is done by Christ and that there is much work to be done because of how this part of the story will end and the next begin...
Then I saw Heaven open wide—and oh! a white horse and its Rider. The Rider, named Faithful and True, judges and makes war in pure righteousness. His eyes are a blaze of fire, on his head many crowns. He has a Name inscribed that’s known only to himself. He is dressed in a robe soaked with blood, and he is addressed as “Word of God.” The armies of Heaven, mounted on white horses and dressed in dazzling white linen, follow him. A sharp sword comes out of his mouth so he can subdue the nations, then rule them with a rod of iron. He treads the winepress of the raging wrath of God, the Sovereign-Strong. On his robe and thigh is written, KING OF kings and Lord of lords. - Revelation 19:11-16 (MSG)
Faithful and True!
The hero of the story re-enters the earthly chapters, Jesus comes back, and just at the right time to end this great war against evil, against all that remains that is unholy, and to remove it from the story forever... no more sin, no more fallen world, no more false self, no more Satan and demons... No more! It is unimaginable. And we will be home. Until then, we armor up for the conflict of which we find ourselves, and we enter in for the Love in which we were made; the Love Story in the midst of a great battle.
We, Team Zoweh, enter into this year with great hope and important words from God: Encourage, Equip, and Reformation. Much more on this in the weeks to come.
There is a lot of NEW ahead.
We invite you to pray into this NEW year, dedicating and consecrating the team, mission, and hope for hearts set free... as many as God will bring us to and as many as He will bring to us.
Let’s Pray...
Dear God, Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Spirit, we praise you and worship you and give to you all of our hopes and all of our concerns for this new year. Thank you for all the Good you have done in us, through us, with us this past year. Amazing! You are good, you are faithful and you are true. We bow our hearts to your glory and your grace. Thank you for rescuing us, redeeming us and now restoring us. We receive your work and the blessings of all you have done to accomplish our recovery. And now we stand in those blessings and we commit again today to walking with you, God—learning the ways of the Kingdom, pursuing our personal restoration, and entering into the restoring work you are up to in this story. We look forward to the restoration of all things when you make all things new. Until then we align our hearts with yours in the battle for the heart and the freedom that we have and will have to fight for... thank you for including us in your plans and in your loving and glorious ways.
Father, we pray that we would be encouraged and equipped as we seek to encourage and equip others for the reformation that is under way. Thank you that you are teaching and training us up in how to Live wisely and how to fiercely walk in your Love. We confess, we need your help, we need your love, we need your training, and we need you. You alone are worthy of our hearts allegiance, and you alone can reveal to us our true selves; the way we uniquely bear your image.
We pray in this NEW year, we consecrate it for Zoweh, the team, all the environments you are walking Zoweh into, and all the opportunities you provide to encourage and equip hearts for more. We dedicate the mission and the ministry to you again for 2018. We bring the canopy of your love and grace and power and authority over Zoweh, and we bring Zoweh and the team and all its work, mission, and ministry under the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving Christ alone supremacy over all things.
Thank you in advance, dear God, for all that you will do in our hearts and through our lives in the days, weeks, and months to come. Holy Spirit, bless us and strengthen us to pursue you, Father, Son, and Spirit, above all things... train us up that we might see ministry as the fruit of our lives and not the goal. Grow us up to see intimacy with you to be our priority and the mission of our lives. We pray all this in the glorious name of our Savior, Shepherd and King, Jesus Christ... in Jesus name we pray.
Amen and AMEN.
